Your first step is to contact your local parish priest or deacon at least 6 to 8 months before the wedding to work out a plan to prepare for your marriage in the Church. Your parish priest or deacon will know which resources are available to you and will recommend the best possible marriage preparation given your particular circumstances.
Please contact the Parish Center to inquire about available times and dates. Variations on the times of the wedding can be accepted depending on parish events.
With the celebrant's assistance, fill out the 'First Step to the Altar' form found below.
Turn in this form to the parish office at St. Francis church so that the date may be formally reserved for the wedding.
Follow the steps given in the Marriage Handbook which can be download below. Part of these steps will include: formal marriage preparation, music selection (see guide below), liturgical selections of readings (see side panel on left), selection of ministers, marriage rehearsal.
