Baptism is a significant moment in the life of a child, and is the first Sacrament of Initiation by which we are freed from original sin and are endowed with the gift of divine life, are made members of the Church, and are called to holiness and mission.

At St. Francis of Assisi Church, we hold great reverence for this holy sacrament and are committed to providing a meaningful and spiritually enriching experience for you and your child.  To ensure a smooth and joyous celebration of Baptism, we kindly request that parents thoroughly read our Baptismal Handbook (found below). This handbook contains important information about the sacrament, the requirements, and the steps involved in preparing for baptismal. It also outlines the roles and responsibilities of parents and godparents, as well as the significance of the promises made during the sacrament.

We encourage you to take the time to familiarize yourself with the guidelines and instructions provided in the handbook for selection of godparents before choosing them. It will help answer any questions you may have and provide clarity on the steps you need to take to initiate the baptismal process.
